On approx 250 acres of vineyard we grow two thirds of red grape varieties and are constantly expanding. The Burgundy styles are Gustav Pfaffmann’s great passion.

The climate and soil favours grape varities like Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay which form the bulk of our estate. However we have also developed high class specialities involving more unusual grape varieties like Gewuerztraminer, Huxelrebe and Siegerrebe.


The estate is run with up to date development technology but with a strong emphasis on natural and environmentally friendly methods.


We are a prime example that tradition and progress can go hand in hand and we never forget that our vines and grapes are our ‘children’ who we deeply care for, nurture and prepare for the future.


We have been rewarded with countless National and regional awards and medals.
